September Newsletter

A group of people are getting baptized in the ocean.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

- Psalm 34:8

Made New

This school year we began with 9 students, but in July we had two students chose to leave. We are halfway through this year's program. Back in August, 3 of our students gave their lives to Christ and earlier this month we had the privilege of heading to the coast and seeing those same students get baptized. It's been a joy to see the students get discipled and grow in their faith. When the school year began only 2 of our students had ever heard the name of Jesus. Their whole lives they knew about Buddhism and now their lives are being changed because of the gospel.

Prayer Request

Our student’s at Shear-Love are provided with a Bible and other items needed for the school year. The image of the Bible is from one of my favorite students. She came to the program but hasn't come to trust in the Lord yet. Every Monday we have chapel and one of her questions is "Why does God allow suffering to happen?" When we lead her back to scripture and the heart of Father God she nods her head yet isn't in agreement. My prayer for her in this school year is this "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."

(Joel 2:25.26)
