Thank you

Hello, I wanted to begin by saying thank you to all who have supported me in this next season of life. Whether through prayer, encouragement, or financial support, I am thankful. I arrived in Pattaya on June 13th adjusting has been smooth. The people, staff, and students have been kind and patient asI learn their names and embrace the culture. The staff and students call me 'Su-Su' in Thai it means fight and they all saywe are here to fight!

Staff

Several staff members help run Shear-Love. Dianna (on the left) is the founder of Shear Love International. In the middle is Julia. Julia is here through a missions organization called Pioneer’s she will be here for the next 2 months. She too has a heart for missions and a desire to help those in human trafficking.

Teaching

In the program this year there are a total of 9 students. The students not only learn English, Shear-Love offers different courses on budgeting, Bible, and discipleship. This year I have the pleasure of co-teaching with Megan. Megan has been a missionary in Thai land for the past 9 years.

Church

In Thailand church is on Saturday mornings, in the image is P- Sam (Megan’s husband), and on his right is Pastor Gideon. ‘Baan Ruem Jai’ will be my home church for the next year, it means ‘Our Hearts United in this Home.' I will be serving in the children’s ministry.

Praise & Prayer

Physical protection- I have found an apartment! There are other tourists here and this makes nights difficult. Two of the student’s have left the Buddhist religion and given their life to the Lord. That they would come to know God’s love and the purpose he has for them. Thailand is predominantly a Buddhist nation

With Gratitude,
Zuleima Chavez
